About the BandYUTB | BNDCMP | .COM
Guitarist and composer Matthew Charles Heulitt wields an uncanny ability to bridge the worlds of jazz, contemporary pop, and original music into a tapestry of soulful music. His lines on the guitar draw a constant sense of unfolding and searching that go well beyond the idioms of jazz improvisation. He’s been a top call session musician in the bay area for over 20 years, has toured internationally, and in 2015 Guitar Player Magazine said he “...represents a scarce breed of guitarist these days…“. He’s been the main guitarist for drummer/producer Narada Michael Walden (Journey, Jeff Beck) for over 10 years. His trio covers a ton of ground from re-imagined pop tunes, jazz standards, to sensitive and dynamic improvisations that always leave your soul feeling replenished and wanting more.
