Our first female-specific boxing event to help build a community that empowers women and girls become champions in life through boxing. Learning boxing from an early age with the New Jersey Police Athletic League, Jackie became fluent in multiple fighting styles in addition to serving as a development executive at AT&T. Head Coach Ahman Elliott, Strap City Boxing Club Better known as Coach O is a nationally recognized amateur boxing coach with over 15 yrs of experience. He was not only the USA team coach at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado; but the NJ Regional and National Team head coach/manager since 2014. He's currently the Junior Olympic Co-Chairman for USABOXING NJ and was honored by the NJ Boxing Hall of Fame for 2018 Coach of the Year and has recently been appointed as the Coaches' Chair for NJ USA Boxing. He has a love for the sweet science of boxing and is dedicated to helping men, women, and children not only become champions inside the ring, but become champions in life. Olympic Coach Gloria PeeksWhen Gloria founded the Montgomery Boxing Club in 1988, it was not only to teach youth how to box. It was also to help boys and young men in education, athletics, and social responsibility. Her success led her to national acclaim when in 1997, she was one of five coaches across the country to be honored with the U.S.A. Weekend Magazine’s Most Caring Coach Awards. A certified American boxing coach and referee, she is the only woman on the U.S. Committee that chooses Olympic boxing coaches. In 1991, Kimberly-Clark Corporation selected her as one of 25 outstanding Americans to receive the Kleenex Says Bless You Award for extraordinary community service. A graduate of Geneva High, Monroe Community College, and SUNY Cortland, Gloria retired in 2000 from the New York State Division for Youth. She ran the Team Norfolk Boxing Club in Norfolk, Virginia. One of the top amateur boxing coaches in the country Gloria, served as the head men’s and women’s coach for the U.S.A. boxing team in the 2011 Pan-Am Games in Guadalajara, Mexico.
