Please join us for the next installment of Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A.'s Legislative Breakfast Series, featuring Chris Schmitter, Chief of Staff for the Office of Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan. Mr. Schmitter will give an update on the Governor’s 2022 session priorities and respond to questions. Chris Schmitter, originally from Rochester, Minnesota, has served as the Chief of Staff to Governor Tim Walz since the Governor was elected in November of 2018. He previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director for Governor Walz during his time in the United States House of Representatives, and as Campaign Manager during Mr. Walz’s first congressional re-election in 2008. A graduate of Georgetown University and the University of Minnesota Law School, he was a law clerk for Minnesota’s Chief U.S. District Court Judge, John Tunheim, and for Judge Sidney Thomas, of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Prior to serving as Chief of Staff, Schmitter most recently worked as a litigator in a law firm. This session is free to attend, and includes a breakfast buffet. We hope to see you there!
