Drunk Man Sent To Hospital After Getting Stuck In MBTA Escalator

CAMBRIDGE, MA — A man was rushed to the hospital Thursday night after police say he got a piece of clothing stuck in an escalator at the Harvard Square MBTA Station. The man was intoxicated and trying to light a cigarette while riding the escalator when he fell, getting tangled in the moving escalator, a spokesperson for the MBTA said. The man was taken to the hospital by ambulance, but his condition has not yet been released. Cambridge firefighters thanked Cambridge police and Pro EMS in a tweet.
