Press release from City of Braintree: January 14, 2022 The Town of Braintree will be holding a walk-in COVID-19 booster vaccination clinic tomorrow Saturday, January 15th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Department of Elder Affairs Building, located at 71 Cleveland Ave. The vaccine will be administered on a first come first served basis.  The vaccine that will be administered is the Moderna booster. In order to receive the vaccine booster, you must be 18 years of age or older and you must have completed your COVID-19 vaccination series by August 14th, 2021. Residents must bring their COVID-19 vaccination card and health insurance information to the clinic. Due to the extreme cold weather predicted for tomorrow, Saturday January 15th the trash and recycling center will be closed. The trash and recycling center will re-open on Monday, January 17th from 7:15 am to 2:45 pm. On Monday, January 17th the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr holiday, there will be no trash and recycling pick-up. All trash and recycling pick-ups next week will be delayed by one day.  On Sunday, January 16th Braintree resident Kevin Wiles will be holding a supply drive to help those who were impacted by the tornado in Kentucky. Items that will be collected at the drive include clothing for all ages and sizes, diapers, baby food, bed sheets, blankets, pillows, toiletries, gloves, moving boxes, tarps and brooms.
