Police gave the following account: On Thursday, the Hoboken Police Department Investigation bureau was conducting surveillance in the area of Sixth and Harrison streets. The surveilance was based on the "potential whereabouts" of two burglary suspects. Police saw the two men in the area of 655 6th St. "Knowing that they both had active arrest warrants stemming from a burglary spree during the month of December," police say, "Detectives Quinones, Milne, and Houghton converged on them. Upon approaching them they compiled with the detectives' orders and they were safely placed under arrest. During search incident to arrest the detectives discovered burglar tools and drug paraphernalia." At headquarters, Alexis Rivera was processed on four burglaries (three in December and one in January), and Peter Perez was processed on two burglaries (both in December), police say. Police alleged that they worked together, so they were also charged with conspiracy to commit burglary. Both men were transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, according to Det. Sgt.
