TUCSON, AZ — A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a Christmas Eve fire set inside the Walmart on Speedway Boulevard in Tucson, according to Tucson police.
Bryant Gonzales was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of arson of an occupied structure, felony criminal damage, endangerment, fraud and burglary, police said.
On the morning of Christmas Eve a large fire that quickly spread was set inside Walmart at 7150 E. Speedway Boulevard, according to police.
"Walmart staff did an amazing job, safely & quickly evacuating more than 300 people from the business," Tucson Police said in a Facebook post.
No one was injured in the fire, but the Walmart store was closed for two weeks. It partially reopened Jan. 7.
