Press release from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office: Joni Money January 13, 2022 The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office has completed its review of the crime statistics for the year 2021.  Overall crime was down approximately 11% in 2021 in comparison to 2020.  Jefferson County is falling in line with the national statistics, with homicide numbers increasing in 2021.
