Facilities Coordinator Parkrose School District 2021-2022 School Year Rate: $20.83 - $23.43 per hour DOE (includes generous benefits package); Job Classification N1 Hours: 40 hours per week; 240 days (based on full work calendar year) – Flexible schedule based on events Deadline to apply: January 28, 2022 at 4 pm Overview: The job of Parkrose School District Facilities Coordinator is done for the purpose of coordinating building usage by scheduling events/activities and to provide clerical support to the Supervisor of Maintenance. Job Requirements: • Prior job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility. • High school diploma (or equivalent) required, and some higher education or sufficient work experience • Multicultural Competency • Must be able to provide proof of COVID vaccination Preferred: • Bilingual preferred • Experience working with diverse student populations preferred Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required: • Skills to operate standard office equipment including use of computer applications such as word, excel, etc. Skills required in proper use of English in both written and verbal form. Exception social skills required. Organizational skills required. • Knowledge of rules and regulations related to district facilities and basic bookkeeping. • Abilities to interact and work with persons of different social styles, age groups and cultural backgrounds, • work under constant interruptions, sit for prolonged periods, work independently, understand and carry out oral and written instructions, provide good customer service. • Knowledge of theatre operations preferred. • Knowledge of athletics operations preferred. License, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required: • Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance (cost to the employee: $12.50 for fingerprints; $66.00 for criminal background check – one-time payroll deduction) Reports to: Supervisor of Maintenance To Apply: Candidates will complete the Parkrose application online at TalentEd. Applicants with culturally diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply. ______________________________________________________________________ Position Details: • Schedule all District facility use requests for events and activities utilizing the Facilitron rental software • Act as point of contact for Parkrose School District facility use requests such as provide tours, attend local association meetings, etc. • Maintain Facilitron rental software including updates, troubleshooting, and reporting • Coordinate with district staff regarding all aspects of events and activities including building admin, event managers, custodial and maintenance staff, IT, Food Services, etc. • Track, document and report rental revenue • Track, document and report lost rental business • Prepare post event reports • Coordinate and communicate with building officials, Event Managers, other sites, and any District departments impacted by the event/activity such as the Technology department, Transportation, Food Services, etc. • Coordinate event managers and event support staff • Prepares written materials (e.g. brochures, newsletters, etc) to support rental marketing and for the purpose of conveying information regarding district and/or school facilities, and maintenance activities and procedures • Actively promote the use of Parkrose School District for events and activities • Advocate for select facilities improvements to aid in event sales and rental satisfaction • Be available during rental events to allow event managers can contact you if necessary/for emergencies Other Job Functions: • Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities. • Stay up to date on all internal Parkrose School District after hours site use, i.e., Champions, Sun, school carnivals, athletics, clubs, etc. • Attend various meetings (trainings, facility meetings, etc.) for the purpose of communicating and/or gathering information and/or addressing liability concerns • Prepare purchase orders, invoices and statements for rentals and Maintenance Department purchases • Be an active member of the district Strategic Energy Management (SEM) Team • Assist with security system and electronic access duties i.e., requesting new staff badges, setting up badge access and employee alarm access and codes, etc.
