Guitar player - looking for others to start hard rock/metal project

I've not had a lot of luck with craigslist in terms of finding people! I'm 37 and would ideally like to find people around the same age. Influences I have are pretty varied as I like a wide range of things to listen to from folk to metal. One of the bands that's been influencing me lately when coming up with original stuff is Opeth. I really enjoy the mix of clean guitars and experimenting with chords just to get a little different sound over chugging away on the low E string. Breakdowns certainly have their place and I like an occasional one though! I'd be happy as a rhythm player, since I mainly just play by myself I practice doing lead things but I'm sure there's a lot more skilled guitar players I could meet. Maybe to start if another guitar player would be interested in getting together to write some things and arrange some of the riffs and parts I've written we might have something not half bad! I can always send some voice memo recordings of ideas I've quickly put down on my phone to see if it's a sound someone else may be looking for. Thanks!
