All storage facilities offer affordable, clean, secure storage units and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Each site sells boxes and moving supplies and is conveniently located to the (Chicago or Milwaukee) downtown area. This job is at the West Loop location. Responsibilities: This individual provides janitorial and light maintenance support and is required to work weekends. A typical schedule is a minimum of 12 hours/week on Saturday/Sunday, with the opportunity to pick up extra hours on weekdays. Regular tasks may include the following: • Walking the interior and exterior of the building to ensure the site’s appearance is in accordance with company standards, and reports any problems that cannot be immediately addressed to the Manager • General cleaning (moping, sweeping, sanitizing etc.) of common areas, vacant units, and restrooms • Replacing light bulbs • Salting sidewalks, operating snow blower, and watering plants (seasonal) • Other tasks as assigned by the Manager Qualifications: • Must be an energetic team player, eager to work and interact with others • Must be professional, reliable, and punctual • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in janitorial position preferred • High school diploma or GED required • Must be available to work weekend daytime shifts Physical Requirements: • Must be able to stand/walk for 8-10 hours/day • Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
