Description

Parts Specialist San Bar Construction Corporation is a heavy highway specialty contractor specializing in striping, guardrail installation, sign manufacturing and installation, rumble strip installation, cable tension barrier installation and water blasting. We are seeking an experienced Parts Specialist to join our company. This position will report to the Fleet/Equipment Manager and will be responsible for all functions of the Parts Department Duties and Responsibilities Locate and order parts Maintain control over parts inventory to increase efficiency and eliminate repair delays Records back orders and monitors status of back orders Dispatches parts orders to technicians Performs warranty and core return duties, and ensures that they are sent back promptly for credit Maintains a proper filing system for all paperwork corresponding to parts orders, special orders, pending credits, and back orders, etc. Cost parts on repair orders Provides technicians with necessary parts with minimal wait time Has an approachable style; fosters open communication through active listening Coordinate with technicians to ensure part requests are met Identify, recommend, and support opportunities for improved methods and processes in the Parts Department Build productive working relationships and consults with others as necessary Assists wherever necessary with coordinating delivery driver routes Participates in departmental meetings All other duties as assigned Qualifications 5+ years’ experience with parts and or mechanical work Excellent communication skills Good interpersonal skills Dependable Job Type Full Time Compensation DOE Benefits Medical and Dental Insurance Health Reimbursement Account Paid Time Off Holiday Pay Following a conditional offer, employment is contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug test and completion of a satisfactory background check.
