Do You Know Where My Family Is?

Description

Many animals are found and brought to the KCMO shelter every day. These are animals that are well cared for and are definitely someone's family pet. Some come in wearing clothes or harnesses, some come in wearing leashes, and many come in with collars. Some have microchips or tags that are no good. They all have one thing in common--they are waiting for their family to come and find them. This is the only way they will return to the home they know. Each of them have just 5 days to wait before they will potentially become available for adoption to a new family. Please if you, or someone you know has lost their pet take a look through these pictures to see if any look familiar. Currently there are approx 200 dogs sitting in kennels at KC Pet Project. The shelter is full of great animals --some have been there several months and staff would really love for them to go home. (pictured here are just a few of the recent intakes) If you have lost a pet recently and you do not see them pictured, and are unable to come to the shelter in person, visit the Shelter website at https://kcpetproject.org/services/view-lost-and-found-pets/ to see all of the found pets. File a lost report through the website and attach a photo. Staff members do look at these photos every day. If you are unable to file a report online, you should at least send an email with clear photo displaying the pet you are looking for. Make sure to include a contact phone number and where the pet went missing. The email address is .
