music / recording studio share

Meets

New York City NY

Description

Hey, we've got some studio mates moving out of our recording studio, so there is availability for new people to pay monthly rent, and have a sweet shared space to make or record music! We've got a great space with tall ceilings and a wall of windows in a convenient bushwick location that is already split into 2 rooms, a live room and a control room. So if you have interest in recording this could give you a space to explore that. Our live room is built with room-within-a-room construction, so you can be loud in there, and feel like you are in a private space, and not annoying the neighbors. That being said, the loft building is filled with mostly artists and small businesses who would prefer that you don't make too much noise during business hours. So this is mostly a nights and weekends recording/rehearsal studio, with non-loud use during the day. Perfect for most people who have day jobs (like me). We have 3 people currently, and are looking to add 2-3 additional people to come join our studio, and pay monthly rent. Once everyone is onboard we should have the individual rent down to about $300-400 per person per month for the next year. We are looking for responsible people, who pay the rent on time without hassle (before the first), and who clean up the space when they finish using it, and do not damage anyone's equipment. We are looking for a 1 year commitment at this point, but if you are interested in two or three years, we can talk about it. We have a bunch of nice analog gear in the space, vintage amps and guitars and keyboards, a drum set, nice microphones, a mixing console, a tape machine, and a rack of sweet outboard gear. More details can be provided. But the guys who are leaving are taking a bunch of digital stuff, so a nice fit for our needs would be someone who wants to bring in their digital setup, converters, computer, headphone amp, etc.... But this is not a requirement! You can also just be a songwriter or musician, or small band, or producer that is looking for a new space. We will adjust the studio needs once the dust settles and everyone is onboard. Let me know what you think! If you're serious, send me an email with a little info about your background in music and how you would like to use the space, and any questions, and I will try to get back to you. If it sounds like a fit, we can meet up and talk over details in person. All the best out there!
