Explore the wild world of orange wines and their perfect pairings!
What is "orange" wine, anyway?
It's *NOT* made from citrus fruit. And it's not always really orange. It *IS* usually delicious, and interesting, and often quite a departure from the familiar flavors and aromas of familiar bottles.
Orange wines are white wines made with red wine methods. Their color comes from grape skins, just like red wine, but orange wines are typically made with white wine grapes. The skin contact gives these beautiful wines a wide range of flavor, tannin, and aroma, and they're terrific with cheese.
We'll spend the evening tasting a variety of orange wines and pairing them with artisan cheeses and a few other accompaniments. Attendees will leave the class with tasting notes, some more suggested pairings, and recipes to pair with the evening's wine.
Attendees must be at least 21 years old.
PLEASE NOTE: Our in-person events are open only to participants who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as defined by the CDC. Attendees will be asked to provide ID and proof of vaccination (a photo of your vaccine card is acceptable) before entering the event space.
We celebrate local and sustainably produced specialty foods, grown and made by people we know and trust. Good food is for everyone!
