LINK Unlimited Scholars and Black Educators Matter are hosting a housewarming basket drive for Facing Forward to End Homelessness! LINK and Black Educators Matter are collaborating to host a housewarming basket drive for Facing Forward to End Homelessness, an organization that provides hope, help and housing, based in 60612. Participants are asked to collect items and drop them off to the LINK Office on Monday, January 17, 2022 between 10am - 2pm. Please see the attached graphic for details. Participant Ask: Start a basket! Encourage your friends, family and neighbors to donate items! Take a photo of your basket as you collect items. Write a note of warm wishes and congratulations to the recipient of your basket. Bring your basket to LINK Unlimited Scholars on Monday, January 17, 2022 between 10am - 2pm to the curbside donation drop off. That’s it! Thank you for your act of service - you’ve helped build a community, and provided a warm welcome to their new home! Sponsorship Info If you'd like to sponsor a basket, we currently have two options: 1. Purchase directly from the Facing Forward to End Homelessness Amazon Wish List, and list "MLK Day of Service Donation" along with any other words of well wishes in the memo. If you do this option, please send us a screenshot of your receipt so that we can document your participation in the event. 2. Make a one-time donation to the Black Educators Matter website, and we will use the funds donated to purchase items and make the basket on your behalf. If you do this option, please send us a screenshot of your donation receipt so that we can document your participation in the event. Don't hesitate to reach out to Danielle, [email protected], if you have any additional questions, and feel free to share this information with anyone who's interested in supporting this initiative!
