We're holding a teach-in to spread the word about our UChicago for a Fossil Free Endowment campaign.
This event will feature student (and potentially some faculty) speakers that will talk about the divestment movement overall, its history, connection to environmental justice, and how it can be accomplished here at UChicago. This event is open to all university community members and will be a space for both political education and discussion about anything and everything related to divestment and environmental justice. We at EJTF are commited to building collective student power and advancing social and racial justice through student organizing.
Because of public health guidelines issued by the University, we are limiting the capacity of this event to 100 attendants, so it is important that you take the time to register here (admission is free). We hope to see you on January 26th!
*This convening is open to all invitees who are compliant with UChicago vaccination requirements and, because of ongoing health risks, particularly to the unvaccinated, participants are expected to adopt the risk mitigation measures (masking and social distancing, etc.) appropriate to their vaccination status as advised by public health officials or to their individual vulnerabilities as advised by a medical professional. Public convening may not be safe for all and carries a risk for contracting COVID-19, particularly for those unvaccinated. Participants will not know the vaccination status of others and should follow appropriate risk mitigation measures.
