Join us for an evening of humor, quick wit, and life lessons learned as Derick Lugo recounts his time on the Appalachian Trail as an Unlikely Thru-Hiker. On a whim, Derick had a cab driver drop him off at the beginning of what would be a 2,200-mile hike. This was a transformational journey that inspired him to write a book about his unlikely hiking adventure. He now inspires others to have their own unlikely adventures. He helps people break stigmas, throw caution to the wind, and pursue their adventure bucket lists. Derick will be joining us at Blue Blaze on February 19 to share some of his experiences as well as selling signed copies of his book The Unlikely Thru-Hiker. Seats are limited so reserve your spot today. Proof of vaccination or negative covid test may be required. Face masks are to be worn for the duration of the event. In the instance of event cancelation due to covid or other unforeseen circumstances, ticket fees will be reimbursed. Enjoy your favorite trail-themed craft beer brewed fresh here in Charlotte. Cider, seltzer, wine, Prosecco and non alcoholic beverages are also available. A local food truck will be on site to satisfy your hiker hunger. We will use pesticide-free, locally-sourced ingredients, whenever available.
