ROOSEVELT, NY — A man was seriously injured in a freak accident by a branch while working for a tree removal company on Wednesday afternoon in Roosevelt. The 19-year-old man was struck with a falling limb on the top of his head just before 4:30 p.m., police said. Officers responded to the worker, whose pulse was lost several times. He was transported to an area hospital and is listed in critical condition. Police are investigating the incident.
