Description

SALEM, MA — Salem State University, which hosted regional vaccination clinics multiple times per week when the shots first became available for first responders one year ago, will bring them back in an effort to help bolster North Shore vaccination and booster rates. The university has partnered with Transformative Healthcare for the clinics that will offer pediatric, first, second and booster doses. The Pfizer vaccine will be available for pediatric, first, second shots and boosters, with Moderna available for boosters. The three clinics will run on Jan. 22, Jan. 29 and Feb. 5 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the South Campus Gymnasium on Harrison Road. Walk-ins are welcomed, but registration is recommended and can be done here. Those being vaccinated are asked to bring photo identification, the CDC card if there are prior vaccinations and an insurance card, if available. Insurance is not required to receive a coronavirus vaccination or booster shot. (Scott Souza is a Patch field editor covering Beverly, Danvers, Marblehead, Peabody, Salem and Swampscott.
