MARBLEHEAD, MA — Some Marblehead residents were advised to expect a possible disruption in water service on Thursday as crews worked on emergency line repair on Elm Street. The Marblehead Water Department said that affected homes should have received a "hang tag" on their door and a CodeRed message about the repair. Those who did not receive the message because they are not signed up for CodeRed alerts. Residents can sign up for alerts here. The system won't duplicate you so if you aren't sure you are signed up, you can sign up again and it will merge your information. The following numbers can be programmed into your phone so you will know that it is a CodeRed message rather than spam — 866-419-5000 and 855-969-4636.
