WOODBRIDGE, VA — A community testing center will open in Woodbridge on Thursday, the Prince William Health District announced. The COVID-19 testing site will be open 6 days each week at the Pfitzner Stadium, though appointments will be required. The testing site will be open from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. from Saturday to Thursday. The site will not be open on Fridays. Testing appointments can be made online. On Wednesday, appointments were only made available for the site's first day of testing on Thursday. Only two days of appointment slots will be available when the testing center is open, officials said. At 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, more than 400 appointments were still available for Thursday's opening day at the testing site. Public health officials said that laboratory results from PCR tests taken at the site would be available within a few days. Results will be automatically sent via text or email, depending on what the person opted for when they made their appointment. Have a story idea?
