WESTBURY, NY — A person was killed in a crash on the Northern State Parkway in Westbury Thursday afternoon, state police said. According to New York State Police, a car was heading east on the Northern State east of exit 34 when it left the road and went onto the shoulder, hitting two trees and a light pole. The accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. Police say the driver, who they have not yet identified, died at the scene. The crash is still under investigation.
