Brookline Police Assoc. Presents 3K Donation To The Boston House

BROOKLINE, MA — The Brookline Police Association presented a $3,000 donation to The Boston House on Monday in memory of Douglas Rodman. Rodman, who passed away on Dec. 21, was a longtime supporter of both The Boston House and Brookline Police. His wife Teri joined the Brookline Police Association for the presentation, along with Assistant Director of The Boston House Andy Richards. "Doug was also a true community partner in every sense of the word," said the Brookline Police Association in a news release. "He was always there to lend a helping hand to organizations in need. We will continue to support The Boston House and hope to carry on Doug's legacy of helping others in the community." Rodman became a Boston House board member in 1989 and lead many fundraisers for the organization. He was instrumental in introducing the Brookline Police Association to the non-profit and it has become the association's marquee charity. The Boston House, formerly known as the Ronald McDonald House, is a home away from home for families with children being treated from cancer at Children's Hospital and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's Jimmy Fund Clinic.
