WESTFIELD, NJ — The holder of a winning lottery ticket, purchased at Westfield's Stop & Shop, has earned $10,000 after Tuesday's NJ Lottery drawing.
This $10K prize was the only third-tier prizewinning ticket sold at the Mega Millions drawing. It was purchased at Stop & Shop #857 — 219 Elm St. — in Westfield.
It matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn.
In addition to the third-tier prize, 30 players matched four of the five white balls drawn, earning them each $500. Five of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier, multiplying the prizes to $1,000.
38,814 other New Jersey players also took home $153,886 in prizes ranging from $2 to $400.
The winning numbers for the Tuesday, January 11, drawing were: 02, 03, 19, 52, and 58. The Gold Mega Ball was 16, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 02.
The jackpot rolls to $325 million for the next drawing and will be held on Friday, Jan. 14, at 11:00 p.m.
All New Jersey Lottery Mega Millions tickets must be purchased before 10:45 p.m on Friday to participate in the drawing. Mega Millions tickets cost just two dollars. By adding the Megaplier option for an extra dollar per play, players can increase their non-jackpot winnings up to five times.
