Press release from Littleton 6 School District: 01.12.22 Heritage High School has more students who have qualified for All-State Symphonic Band this year than they've had in over two decades: Davey Aguilera (trumpet), Micah Newquist (euphonium), David Pera (clarinet), and Ian Schultz (trumpet), all juniors, will represent Heritage in the All-State Symphonic Band in April. Luke Parker (trumpet) qualified as first alternate and will participate if another musician is unable to attend. Ian Schultz also qualified for All-State Jazz Band, which will rehearse and perform at the Colorado Music Educators Association (CMEA) conference at The Broadmoor later this month. Leah Grier (trumpet) is a fifth LPS student who qualified for All-State Symphonic Band, and she is a junior at Arapahoe High School. All-State Symphonic Band, open to juniors and seniors, will bring together 112 students representing 68 high schools at the 71st Annual Colorado All-State Bands event in April. A total of 590 students from 145 schools participated in the audition process for All-State Bands. Congratulations to all these musicians! This is a tremendous honor and accomplishment, and LPS is proud of you!
