ABINGDON, MD — A 39-year-old Baltimore woman has claimed the Powerball prize from a winning ticket sold recently at the Wine World in Abingdon, according to lottery officials. The $50,000 winner purchased her ticket at the store on Constant Friendship Boulevard, the Maryland Lottery reported. She did not claim her winning ticket immediately. Lottery officials reported Monday that she cashed in on the Powerball prize from the Dec. 27 drawing. Mystic Gas Station in Edgewood sold a $100,000 Powerball ticket for the Jan. 10 drawing, lottery officials reported Wednesday. The winning numbers for the Powerball drawing on Monday were 14, 17, 18, 21, 27 and a Powerball of 9. Winners have 182 days from the drawing date to claim their prizes. Maryland Lottery officials advise people to sign the backs of their tickets and put them in a safe place. Prizes greater than $25,000 must be claimed by mail or at the Maryland Lottery headquarters in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330, Baltimore, MD 21230. To visit, people must make an appointment at the lottery headquarters.
