Joliet Fire Chief visits Troy Heritage Trail 3rd graders

Kandi Williams' third grade class at Troy Heritage Trail Elementary School recently spent a social studies unit learning about various city departments and how they serve the community. As a culminating activity, they wrote letters to several local heads of departments, asking them questions about their roles. Joliet Fire Chief Greg Blaskey was a recipient of the letters, and he responded by visiting the class and answering the students' questions in person. Williams said the students were delighted to meet Blaskey and learn more about the fire department.
