JOLIET, IL — A 35-year-old Joliet man is now in the Will County Jail facing his fifth driving under the influence of alcohol violation. Wednesday's arrest of David Palecios took place along the Interstate 80 corridor of Joliet. The Illinois State Police took Palacios into custody. According to Thursday's criminal complaint, Will County prosecutors have charged Palecios with three felonies. Two charges are aggravated DUI and one charge is aggravated driving while license suspended. A Will County judge set bail at $250,000 on Thursday for the defendant. Prosecutors say that Palecios, "while under the influence of alcohol, drove or was in actual physical control of a vehicle, a Mercedes-Benz ... on I-80 in Joliet, Will County, Illinois, during a period in which the defendant's driving privileges were revoked or suspended." Palecios, who lives in the 800 block of Croghan Avenue, was booked into his Will County Jail cell about 1:15 a.m. on Thursday, according to jail logs. Will County's court records indicate this marks Palecios' fifth DUI violation. His previous four DUI convictions are from the following dates and places: March 24, 2008, in Will CountyDecember 7, 2008, in McLean CountyMarch 10, 2019, in Peoria CountyJune 7, 2019, in Cook County
