TEMPE, AZ — Tempe is set to distribute free COVID-19 rapid at-home test kits at four locations on Friday. The city only has around 600 test kits, so hand outs will be limited to one kit per household, according to a news release from the city. The tests will be available during business hours at the following locations, but people looking to snag a test should be aware that they will probably go quickly. Tempe Public Library, 3500 S. Rural Road, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.Escalante Multi-Generational Center, 2150 E. Orange St., 8 a.m.-8 p.m.Westside Multi-Generational Center, 715 W. Fifth St., 8 a.m.-9 p.m. North Tempe Multi-Generational Center, 1555 N. Bridalwreath St., 8 a.m.-8 p.m. To avoid spreading the virus, anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 should stay home and ask someone else to pick up a test for them. If even one member of your household tests positive, you should assume that everyone in your household has been exposed. That means everyone should quarantine and get a PCR test. If you test positive, you should self-report to your doctor or to Maricopa County at 602-506-6767.
