The summer came with promise
from a springtime born of hope
Warmer breeze through greener trees the end to cold and snow
I catch a wave as the butterfly
dances in the sun
But fall comes quick
an untimely trick
and reminds everyone,
that winter wears a white coat and covers us in cold.
