Local construction company looking for a reliable experienced concrete finisher to work in the City of Tacoma on a prevailing wage project. This person will have the skill and experience necessary to perform a variety of construction activities relating to the layout, preparation, placement, and finishing of concrete. This position is expected to perform all aspects of concrete work with minimal direction from a crew foreman. Applicants need to have knowledge of city codes, basic carpentry tools, tool belt, concrete finishing tools, hard hat, safety glasses, safety shirts/vest, driver's license and vehicle to get to and from work. We are a drug-free company. Must be able to bend and squat for extended periods of time. Minimum (10) year experience. *Reply to this posting with resume. Must have verifiable experience as cement finisher. Job Description: -Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete such as sidewalks, road panels, curb and gutters using a variety of hand and power tools. -Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, and/or gutters, and use saws to cut expansion joints. -Responsible for quality control of all work. -Maintain good communication with Supervisor and Management. -Comply with all company safety, vehicle and other policies. -Anticipate materials and tools needed for job in timely manner. -Must be professional and able to communicate clearly and effectively.
