Are there any vocally inclined poet types out there that would like to write some songs for recording and/or live performance? I'm seeking to start an indie-pop/dream-pop sort of project and would like to write the music and vocals from the ground up... but alas I'm not much of a singer myself and probably sub-par with lyric writing if I'm honest with myself. I do, however, know my way around a tune and I'm happy to write the music with as much input or lack thereof as you'd like to participate in. I play predominantly guitar and most songs would be written initially as rhythm guitar parts, though we could also play around with keys and midi instruments. I also have a fully set up and equipped rehearsal space with very good recording gear and mediocre but capable (I'm getting better!) recording skills. I also have musician friends who can round out a full band to help record/perform. Sound like something you'd be interested in? Hit me up. Male or female doesn't matter. Happy to meet in person at a neutral place to talk things over first to see if personalities are a fit or not. I'm fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID.
