Northgate Self Storage is focused on serving our community with their storage and moving needs. We are looking for a local area resident who offers the skill set and experience needed to make a solid connection with our community. This job description is intended to describe the general nature of the work employees can expect within this position. It is certainly not a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications required for this job.
Responsibilities:
· Be ready to respond positively to customer interest in our storage and truck rentals.
· Work with staff members to troubleshoot computer and office equipment problems.
· Answer phones in a manner that leads to positive customer experiences.
· Maintaining stock and cleaning common areas including bathrooms.
· Cleaning and maintaining the office area.
· Operate forklift to assist our storage customers. (Training will be provided)
· Ensure security of property by remaining vigilant of the spaces and customers present.
Skills Requirements:
· Capable of engaging customer service in a manner that brings return customers.
· Ability to prioritize tasks appropriately with many things going at once
· Must be willing to take criticism and make revisions to work as requested
· Position requires exceptional verbal, email and phone etiquette
· Must be able frequently walk the grounds including stairs
Required Experience & Software Knowledge:
· Knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite required. (Outlook/Excel/Word/Teams)
· Experience driving forklifts is helpful but not required.
· Storage or Truck rental knowledge/experience a bonus and will be given special consideration, though not required.
· Customer service experience is beneficial.
· Previous maintenance or general contracting experience strongly beneficial to the position.
