Sweet black lab mix for rehome

I have a 3 year old black lab / staffordshire terrier mix - we adopted him from Halifax Humane Society shortly before thanksgiving - he is a VERY sweet boy but we did not realize how energetic he was as he was very quiet, docile and laid back at the shelter - we have 3 kids and while he has never bitten or hurt them, he LOVES to play and he does get a bit rough for little ones - I really don’t want to send this guy back to the shelter but he just doesn’t seem to be a good fit for our family despite the training and behaviors we have tried to teach him… he needs a home with a big yard to play in and someone who has the time to really invest in helping him burn energy - he is free to a good home but I will be a bit picky… again, I do care about this dog and I’m trying to find a better home that can give him more space and attention than I can provide - text or email please!
