No, that's not a typo, we meant "mime."
We are an experimental metal/electronic act with two LPs out and a third on the way. We try to make our performances special, unique, and not at all what you would expect from a typical heavy metal show.
Ergo, we are seeking mimes/movement artists to accompany our live show.
Ideally, mimes who can sing backups (perhaps even occasional leads) on certain songs.
And yes we understand that mimes typically don't make sounds. We're not mime traditionalists or anything like that.
(I should probably mention that this is a PAID gig. We don't expect anyone to mime for free).
Oh and by "mime" we mean corporeal mime of the Étienne Decroux school. Experimental/avant-garde. Aesthetically, think Mummenschanz: Props, masks, and projection mapping ideas would be welcome. Just bear in mind this is a low-budget affair and for the time being anyway, we're mostly confined to the charmingly seedy underground rock clubs that will have us.
Musically, think Igorrr, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Opeth, Neurosis, Yob, Perturbator, Carpenter Brut, Aphex Twin, Mr. Bungle.
