Farm manager needed for small farm. Looking for energetic, fun person who likes working outside, working with animals, and working with people. Please email resume and cover letter. Experience in farm/garden work required. Job requirements: Animal care and farm maintenance: daily chores, weedwacking pasture fences (woven-wire), building pasture fencing and animal structures, helping with births and deaths of animals, general livestock care. Animals on farm include: 2 milking, cows, pigs, dairy goats, sheep, mini horses, chickens, turkeys, rabbits, ducks. Produce: planting, maintenance of produce beds, and harvesting for sale at local markets. Maple sugaring: tapping, boiling, bottling for about 60 taps. Ability to fix or diagnose broken machinery and equipment including mower, 4-wheeler, weed-wackers, tillers, and other hand-held machinery. We do a lot of agro-tourism at our farm and we also have a country store, so must be able and willing to work with children and customers (daily farm tours, birthday parties, day passes to farm, school visits, school field trips, and summer camps all occur at farm or farm animals travel to different venues). Must be able to lift 100 pounds, work outside in various weather conditions, work alone and with others.
