Maintenance / Handyman at apartment complex

We have an immediate opening for a maintenance handyman at an apartment complex. Must be experienced in residential repairs to join our team. Pay will be hourly, DOE. We currently have 2 apartments that require a full remodel. Afterwards work will be ongoing as tenants move out and units need a basic refresh. Will be responsible for snow removal/lawn maintenance. We also get the occasional plumbing repair call (clogged tub/toilet, etc). Must live within 15 minutes of Niles, MI and be available for after hour emergency calls. Schedule is flexible, workload will vary. This is a part-time 1099 position Must have smart phone and be able to communicate well and respond quickly, be dependable Must be on time for all appointments and create and maintain clean and safe work areas Must have own basic tools and reliable transportation/valid drivers license. Must have knowledge of most areas of residential repairs – minor plumbing, minor electrical, patching, painting, click-lock flooring, etc. Must be willing to learn & work with our maintenance manager on additional skills. Background checks will be done and references checked Possibility of working for rent credits towards an onsite apartment
