Individuals applying for this position should be prepared to comply with the COVID-19 vaccination mandates of Vitalant and accordingly, will need to be vaccinated as of first date of employment unless approved exemption exists prior to start. 2nd/Late Evening Shift PRIMARY PURPOSE: Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for the planning, procurement, storage, controlling, and distribution of materials. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -Performs all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations. Brings compliance issues to the attention of management. -Assures quality customer service to all customers. -Maintains inventory levels to meet department requirements while minimizing transportation charges. Coordinates delivery of supplies to various departments and other sites as required. -Is responsible for the procurement and quality control (e.g., storage temperature) of materials and office supplies. -Contacts internal resources and external vendors to coordinate delivery and return orders and defective materials. -Oversees and assists with the maintenance of assigned locations to include grounds, property and physical assets, equipment repair and replacement. -Maintains records and schedules preventative maintenance. -Coordinates with safety officer to ensure appropriate documentation of Material Safety Data Sheets. -Oversees on-site and off-site storage facilities. -Performs all other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge/ Education -High School graduate or GED required. -Associates degree preferred. -Knowledge of inventory control and warehouse operations required. Skills/Abilities -Good communication and customer relation skills. -Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs., bend, stretch, reach, and sit. -Detail oriented. -Personal computer skills. -Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record.
