Seeking other musicians to jam with and play jazz in Bushwick Brooklyn. You must know how to Improvise and be Spiritual, Creative and Musical. NO FAKE BOOKS OR CHARTS. I do not want to sound like the other band or the record. I want to sound like US as in original. You should know how to take a song and make the arrangement your own. I never want to play a song the same way twice. It should always be different, fresh and anew as in A NEW DAY and willing to explore that day with your heart, soul and passion!!! Swing, Jazz, Gospel, Blues, Samba, Be Bop, Soul, Funk, Fusion, Afro-Cuban, Rhumba, Bembe, Clave, Rock, Mozambique, Montuno, Reggae influences and elements are all welcome. You must know how to play slow as well as fast. Acoustic and Electric Bass, Piano, Organ, Guitar, Sax, Trumpet, Violin, Harp (as in Alice Coltrane) are all welcome. Hopefully we can get together once a week or every other week for a couple of hours on a regular basis. If it works out and we develop a good and dynamic chemistry then possibly we can record a demo and then use the demo to book gigs with...but for now the goal is to just get together in the same room and play.
