In my adult life, gun shows have always been a ripoff. I hear from the older generation that it didn't used to be that way. I think that is why people still go, the nostalgia. I've personally never found any hardware at a show worth the price though. They seem to cater to the folks who can't pass a background check and the folks who can't stand to pay admission and leave empty handed. It is, however, a great place to sell a gun privately. There are some straight up rabid morons walking around that will get in a bidding war over a beat up wall-hanger. It's kinda funny and kinda sad all at the same time.
