Come on, there have to be some weird indie musicians left in this city

I dunno what's up with this city, I've been looking for almost ten years now to find just generally cool, weird people with the same taste in music to jam and write songs. Every response I get is from some professionally trained guitarist looking to expand their portfolio, or even if I find someone who seems cool, they can't handle the awesome responsibility of showing up for even one meeting. I know everyone moved here to get a corporate job and a nice apartment, but that's probably why the scene in this city is so boring. Anyway, anyone who still listens to stuff like Dino Jr., Swirlies, Unwound, Helium, Buffalo Tom, Velocity Girl, Mudhoney, Unrest, Cat Power, etc., all the cool stuff from a million years ago that still sounds miles better than anything coming out of Brooklyn, hit me up. I'm an ok guitarist and don't know anything about theory, but I write cool songs and I need people to play them with. I'm 33 and not getting any younger. If I don't find a drummer at least by the end of the year, I give up.
