QWO is a prescription medicine used for the treatment of moderate to severe cellulite in the buttocks of adult women. To administer QWO, the doctor injects directly into cellulite dimples on the buttocks—up to 12 injections for a single treatment, or 24 injections for two treatments. Once injected, the enzyme in QWO is thought to target collagen types 1 and 3 to release the septae, ultimately releasing the dimple and making the skin appear smooth. In its clinical trial, QWO was injected three times, each 21 days apart, to produce results in patients. Does QWO really work? When patients ask, does QWO work on thighs, the answer is a resounding yes! While QWO cellulite treatment was initially approved by the FDA in July of 2020 to treat cellulite of the buttocks, QWO treatment can also be used to treat cellulite on the thighs with stunning effectiveness! Prep instructions for QWO: Avoid consuming alcohol and/or smoking 2-days before your treatment and 2-days post-treatment. Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications 10-14 days prior and 3-4 days post-treatment. Medications such as Aspirin and other NSAIDS, Vitamin E, Fish oil, Gingko Biloba, Ginseng, and St. John’s Wart should be avoided as they can increase the chance of bruising. Consider taking Arnica tablets 1 week prior to injections to prevent bruising. Arnica can be found at any health food store. We have Arnica available at ENIC. Days leading up to the procedure, be more aware of areas that bother you.
