Fun, informative, and delicious fundraiser for the Colonial Beach Community Foundation--pairs chocolate and wines. This event has been a popular fundraiser for the Foundation and brings the community together over two of nature’s gifts—grapes and cocoa beans. Hosted by Eric Nelson, former owner of Artfully Chocolate salons in D.C., Maryland and Virginia, now a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Elite and Colonial Beach Community Foundation board member. Nelson has taught classes in pairing chocolate and wine for the past 17 years. He likes to underscore all of the various aspects of the pairings, especially the health benefits. “Chocolate and wine should be considered dietary supplements rather than guilty pleasures,” says Nelson. “Although, I don’t deny that the pairings are very pleasurable too.” The Colonial Beach Community Foundation - Improving the Quality of Life in the CB Area
