In Search of A Band to Sing For

My name is Makayla but I often go by Mak; I'm a singer looking to either join a band or create one with someone who can play guitar or piano. If you enjoy writing lyrics that's a plus, I do too. I'm also down to sing some covers. I have my own mic, mixer, and amp but I do not have a place to practice in. The goal is to eventually perform gigs/open mics at some spots around town. A little bit about me, I listen to and sing several styles but I'm aiming for something along the lines of rock/indie/alternative. I'm hoping we can have a few impromptu jam sessions to see if there is musical chemistry between us. My creativity peaks when I have something to write lyrics for and a melody to come up with. As much fun as I have with making music, it's also a hobby I want to start taking more seriously. So if you're kinda in the same boat then let's start something rad!
