Concerned about the climate and want to enjoy a nighttime winter hike ? Join Citizens Climate Lobby – Lake County Chapter on a nighttime, solar-lit hike through Old School Forest Preserve. Walk with climate advocates and learn what is being done to help make a better climate future, or, just enjoy the hike ! Regardless of whether we’re expecting 6 more weeks of winter, or, an early spring we’ll be enjoying a casual 1.3 mile hike through the Old School Forest Preserve. Old School's main entrance lot is located on the east side of St. Mary's Road just south of Route 176. Lake County Forest Preserve Rangers regularly patrol the areas. In case of inclement, or, severe weather the event will be rescheduled. We will provide notice to all registrants. Participation is limited, please register early ! Citizens’ Climate Lobby is a nonprofit, non-partisan, people-driven organization - ordinary folks making an extraordinary difference towards solving climate change.
