Companion/helper for elderly woman

Looking for retired person with flexible hours for companionship, driver and helper to mobile, petite, elderly woman on shopping trips, doctor visits, and short, day trips for pleasure. Should have cheery disposition, and speak English very clearly. Must be willing to help carry purchases into home with stairs. Ability to help with simple tasks, some light cleaning, helping her keep track of medications, reading tiny print, or get the television to work again. (those remotes can get confusing…lol) It might also be just sharing time and conversation together. Must have reliable auto. You will be asked to show proof of your own auto insurance policy. Proof of Covid-19 vaccination required. You will be screened with a background check, and we will require 2 references that are not family members. We will pay $15/ hour. Must be non-smoker. Should be from or near the Rosedale area. Also possibility of living in apartment upstairs in exchange for services. It would be great if you shared any interests with my mom. She moved here from Germany, in her 20's, has raised a family, likes gardening, bird watching, and British television series on PBS. She also has a 15-pound terrier mix that you would need to be comfortable around.
