Take a free tour at Mordecai Historic Park! Mordecai Historic Park will offer free tours throughout the day on this special Friday! Tours begin on the hour and half-hour and are limited to 12 people per tour. The first tour will begin at 10 a.m. & the last tour starts at 3 p.m. Free tours are offered only twice a year, so don't miss out! Free event. Temperature checks and face masks will be required. This program will follow all local and state guidelines regarding COVID safety protocols. Mordecai Historic Park is the oldest home in Raleigh, N.C. on it's original 1785 foundation and was the seat of one of the largest plantations in Wake County. Today, the historic park houses other historically significant buildings in a village setting, including the birthplace of President Andrew Johnson.
