Celebration of Southern History This will be a Celebration of Southern History to raise money to assist American Veterans and Preserve History. There will be a social hour with open bar, Flag Ceremony, Dinner and a Speaker on the Death of Stonewall Jackson. Lots of historical displays and presentations, period music, door prizes, gifts for children and many people dressed in period clothing. Funds raised with go to a host of charities to help American Veterans and preserve history. Jason Boshers will be the speaker and has been a member of the SCV since 2004. He became active in 2007 when he went to a 100 year Memorial Rededication for the Sam Davis Statue in Pulaski, TN. The following year , he helped organize the 100 year rededication of the Bigby Grey Memorial located in his home town of Mt. Pleasant, TN. Also in 2008 he became the Editor for the Forrest Escort which is the newsletter for the TN Division SCV. he was the editor for nine years. He became Camp Commander for Sam Watkins Camp #29 in 2008. In 2012, he became the Communications Director for the Tennessee Division. In 2016 he became the Army of Tennessee Councilman. In 2020, he became the Lt. Commander-in-Chief of the SCV. He ihas been married to Linda for 34 years. Her has been an employee of the Tennessee Farm Bureau for 36 years. Specifically, under the law, a 501(c)3 Veterans Advocacy Group & Historical Society, tax exempt corporation. Started by former Confederate Soldiers to assist those who suffered in the War Between the States. Members must have a documented ancestor that served in the Confederate Army, Navy, Marines or Government. The demographics of our membership spans the full spectum of American Society
