Pacific Crest Engineering is a full service Geotechnical Engineering and materials testing firm, looking to fill a field technician/inspector position. Inspection and/or construction related experience in earthwork, concrete, and asphalt paving recommended.
Willing to train, however compensation depends on level of experience and current certifications.
Technician duties include
1. Observing, Sampling and Testing native soils and aggregates
2. Observing and Sampling concrete and asphalt.
3. Working across multiple jobsites around the Monterey Bay Area, and coordinating with contractors performing the work.
4. Coordinate with company engineers and project managers to ensure work is being installed per plans and specifications.
5. Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
6. Ability to lift 50lb+ samples of aggregate, concrete, or asphalt.
Current inspection certifications are highly encouraged.
Recommended certifications include
ACI Grade-1 or higher, ICC - Reinforced Concrete, ICC -Structural Masonry, ICC - High Strength Bolting, ICC - Fireproofing, ICC - Steel Welding, and Caltrans Earthwork related certifications.
